  We booked as a big group of 2-3 families for a cruise deal they were offering. We wanted to inquire about a loophole in terms of departing ports for me and my boyfriend, and they told us it was risky but had been done before. Having trusted their "expertise," we booked with them. They told us no refunds. When we brought the documentation in to confirm booking and pay, they rejected my boyfriend's Enhanced ID, saying they needed a passport. My boyfriend had to (VERY inconveniently) search up the laws himself to PROVE to the TRAVEL AGENCY that this ID type was allowed to use to book the cruise. You would THINK the travel agencies would be up to speed on the types of documents allowed, right? Not this one.
  The next day I did more research and found an Act that stated the loophole was strictly forbidden and subject to $730 worth in fines. Horrified, I contacted the cruise agency; they were shocked. I had more to say on the matter but they brushed me off because I was speaking English to them and they wanted to contact one of the other adults (basically an excuse to research what they knew nothing about). After my boyfriend called them to explain to them things they should have known in the first place, the travel agency went behind his back and complained about him to one of the adults in our group who was doing the booking. This caused a lot of trouble between the family.
  WHAT HAPPENED TO THE "CUSTOMER" IN CUSTOMER SERVICE? Zhong Hai Travel Inc played the victim, saying they didn't understand the English well when they spoke to me in perfectly coherent English sentences. They went behind a customer's back to complain about a customer when THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN THE FIRST PLACE. I understand they were trying to help us with this loophole, but it would have been settled in the first place had they said, "we cannot do this." It's not like we wouldn't have booked with them had they said that. We just would not have gone through that back and forth.
  Only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of one is because they did give us the refund. Can't say I'm satisfied in any way with their service, though.
